Conclusion – Is your opportunity to Show me what you Know!!!

make sure you include the items below in ORDER

  1. State the purpose of the lab and explain how this purpose was achieved
  2. State the conclusions that can be drawn from the lab data
  3. Explain the data and comment on its reliability and precision – it it is not possible to determine either of these state that and tell why
  4. Discuss specific experimental errors in this lab (These are factors that occur even if you follow all the directions  and make no mistakes)  They are due to flaws inherent in the measuring equipment or the lab procedure.  Human error is not acceptable.  If there was one tell me what is was (For example, Mrs. Shields knocked over our beaker and we lost ½ our product)
  5. Explain 1 way to reduce the errors (or to improve precision or accuracy) -  Unless you want to lose points DO NOT suggest extra time or that the teacher spend more time setting up supplies!!!

 

 

Quality:  Make all items are done correctly:

    2. Complete Sentences
    3. At least one of every type of Calculation is shown
    4. Questions – answer and support with data from the lab and content information from the unit
    5. Data and calculations should have the correct significant figures
    6. Lab should be neat and you should use standard written English
