vs. Faculty Basketball game went over very well. We sold ~110 tickets and the
knock out sold ~ 20 tickets making $1789.20.

Baccalaureate
will take place on Sunday June 1. Anyone willing to help out with this please
contact Dori Nichols.
Ø
We
received donations from Sheetz (250.00), Muse
Children Foundation (500.00) and TJ Athletic Boosters (2000.00)
Ø
Debbie
Doll is actively searching for Junior and Senior
parents who could run various activities the evening of Safe and Sane. Please
think about volunteering a small portion of your evening. Contact Debbie Doll
Ø
The
Dinner Dance and Silent Auction will be held on April 18 at Dutch’s Daughter. We
are still in need of people to buy and sell tickets. Social hour 7-8, buffet
8-9, and dance 9-11. There is room for 160. Key contacts for delivering tickets
will be: Ila Stitely and
Michele O’Connor: Willow Brook & Christopher’s Crossing, Karen Conway:
Spring Ridge and Lynne Omelchenko: Cloverhill. Tim Gibian passed out
a list of items that will be sold at the auction. Other items are also being
solicited. If you know someone who can donate an item please touch base with
Tim. The baskets will be bundled on April 13 @ the Gibian
house. Anyone interested in helping with the bundling and preparation of the
baskets on Sunday is encouraged to call Tim.
Food

Theresa
Hentgen reported that the Food committee met and has
begun the planning/purchasing process.
Registration
Ø
Pat Wachter has purchased red wrist bands for students to wear that
will be given to students upon registering. Wrist bands were also bought for adults
working that evening to help identify the adults working at Safe and Sane for
security purposes.
Prizes
Ø
Students
will receive 10 raffle tickets at registration to be used for the large prizes
on display and winners will be awarded at the end of the evening.
Send a Star
Ø
Send a
Star to a
senior at Safe and Sane will be coordinated by Ann Duncan. The stars will be
sold for $1.00 at the PTSA Awards
Ceremony on 4/21, Senior Awards Ceremony on 5/29 and Baccalaureate on 6/1.
The Send a Star program is a way for family members and friends to send a
farewell message to their senior and have it posted at Safe & Sane. Email
or contact Ann if you are interested in helping with this venture in any way. (ann.duncan@fcps.org )
Goody Bags- The Jessica Murphy
foundation will donate beach towels with Safe and Sane logo and key chains for
each senior. Other items will be added as donated or money is available.
Student and Parent Flyer for Safe and Sane
will go out around the 15th of the month.
